Truth Trace is operated by Mark Clement Rose (“we”, “us”, “our”), trading as Truth Trace. By creating an account or continuing to use the service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

You confirm that you are of legal age to enter into this agreement, and that where you use Truth Trace on behalf of an organisation you have authority to bind it.

Truth Trace retrieves publicly available web sources and uses automated analysis to assemble evidence trails about a claim, topic or screenshot you submit. It produces case files that separate what sources state from what is unconfirmed.

Outputs may be incomplete or inaccurate. Truth Trace does not perform an exhaustive search of the internet, does not establish truth, and is not a substitute for professional legal, financial, medical or other regulated advice. You are responsible for verifying anything you rely on. Allegations reported by sources remain allegations; nothing in a case file should be read as a finding of guilt or wrongdoing.

You must provide accurate information, keep it up to date, and keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity carried out under your account.

You must not:

• use the service unlawfully, or for fraud, spam or harassment;
• infringe the intellectual property or privacy rights of others;
• interfere with the security or integrity of the service — including malware, probing, automated scraping, or circumventing usage limits or technical restrictions;
• submit content you have no right to submit, or use the service to create deepfakes, hate speech, or deliberately misleading material;
• reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the service.

You are responsible for the claims, text and screenshots you submit and for how you use the results. We may remove content, filter outputs, or suspend accounts where these rules are broken. If you believe material processed through the service infringes your rights, contact us and we will review and, where appropriate, remove it; repeat infringement leads to account termination.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Truth Trace within your selected plan. We retain all ownership of the service, its software, documentation and branding. You grant us a limited licence to host and process the content you submit solely in order to provide the service.

The free plan includes a limited monthly allowance of investigations. Truth Trace Pro is a monthly subscription at C$19/month, with a 7-day free trial for eligible new accounts, renewing automatically until cancelled. Current plan details are on our pricing page.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. See also our refund policy.

We work to keep Truth Trace available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. Retrieval depends on third-party sources that may be unavailable or rate limited.

We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. You may stop using the service at any time. On termination your access ends; you may export your saved cases before closing your account, after which data is deleted or anonymised.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages, including loss of profits, data or goodwill. Our total aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

You indemnify us against claims arising from your content, your unlawful use of the service, or your breach of these terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, and the courts of Ontario have jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence. You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger or acquisition. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control. We may update these terms; continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
